Everything can be seen as an instrument. You can become the instrument in your own project: without any experience I directed 6 inexperienced and nonmusical young women in a grand musical performance-show. Music forms the basis for playing instruments that weren't meant for that purpose, and the execution of choreographies without the proper skills. Thus becoming an evitably imperfect but radiantly human show for arrangements. ( july 2007)

With the cooperation of: Maartje Bertens, Teun Jansen, Annet Nooijen, Sofie Salet, Loes van de Ven and Eva de Vlaming. (thank you very much)

Performance for arrangements

A show full of theatrical music-performances by people and many other instruments.

This compilation consists of the following acts:

Arrangement for people-organ
a visual score

Arrangement for silence
The silence made audible and visible with electricity-tube horns.

Arrangement for pumps and pipes
The ever-difficult pumporgan, accompanied by a girl-driven pump-choir.

Audience audio - Jak Peters & Michiel van de Weerthof

Musicmaking for dummies. If nobody understands what's going on anymore, then things start to get interesting. We act as instructors to let people, who think they can't make music, show ontherwise. In the end the audience is playing the complete song and we do 'very little'. But how bad is the audience really in music? And how good are we in instructing?

Live performance by Jak Peters & Michiel van de Weerthof

Songs:
Northern Light - Jak Peters
Kilimanjaro - Weerthof

Filmed by Rijnder Kamerbeek @ Theatre Kikker Utrecht 2009 during 'de Grill', a varieté-programme by Danibal and Jan Schellink.
